Legal Specialist Product and Marketing EMEA

As a Legal Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Counsel and the Business Area Product & Marketing EMEA team. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of commercial and intellectual property matters, including brand marketing, licensing, product safety, and sustainability initiatives.

You will work closely with the Senior Counsel business area leader Product & Marketing EMEA, providing legal support and guidance to various teams within the organization.

In particular, the Legal Specialist will support the Business Area Product & Marketing EMEA leader and the rest of the Law Team with the following activities.

• Product & Collabs (Commercial IP): Actively contribute in the negotiation and drafting of licensing and collaboration agreements. Assist in contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  
• Intellectual Property (Administrative): Support patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, maintenance, and renewals. Contribute to the negotiation and management of intercompany IP licensing agreements.
  
• ESG Compliance & Green Marketing Claims: Contribute to ESG compliance initiatives and reporting.
  
• Legal Monitoring: Keep abreast of relevant legal developments in contracts and civil procedure within the EMEA region.
  
• Brand Marketing: Support in negotiating and drafting of Event and Service Agreements, including those with Influencers, Ambassadors, and Agencies. Support in negotiating PR Agency Agreements. Assist to the negotiation and drafting of Charitable Donation Agreements. Support in the negotiation and drafting of Sponsorship Agreements.
  
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including the brand marketing teams.
  
• Organizational Audits: Conduct audits and plan remedial actions across VF�s organizational practices.
  
• Training and Communication: Contribute to educational, communication, and training initiatives within the Product & Marketing Business Area.
  

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Background: master�s degree in law.
  
• Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial and intellectual property law in at least one European and/or Swiss jurisdiction.
  
• Professional Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house role, preferably with exposure to commercial and IP matters. Experience in an international setting is preferred.
  
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Good knowledge of Italian, German, or French is advantageous.
  
• Project Management: Strong self-organization and project management capabilities.
  
• Analytical Skills: Adept at analyzing complex issues, conducting research, and presenting findings.
  
• Teamwork and Diversity: Enthusiastic about working and socializing in a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural environment.
  
• Personal Attributes: Proactive, meticulous, and reliable with a positive mindset and a keen desire to learn and grow professionally.
