Direct Integrations Business Analyst

THE ROLE


Within the Digital & Innovation Department and under its governance, the Digital & Innovation Analyst mission requires an understanding of how to deliver a world class implementation experience to our customers and vendors.


The Digital & Innovation Analyst will work alongside business areas to manage post-contract integration projects across a variety of platforms and technologies, meeting agreed timelines and maximizing customer satisfaction.


We are looking for someone who is passionate about the experience of providing integrations to our customers and vendors and will persistently find ways to deliver value throughout the implementation process.


In addition, he/she must be able to organize the tasks and teams to ensure the delivery of a good product and maintain a good team attitude with clear communication and collaboration.


YOUR IMPACT


  • Learn MSC products, EDI and APIs, various configurations, in order to support every kind of customer setup.
  • Promote direct integration channels while leveraging new industry standards.
  • Manage all the implementations from kickoff to API and EDI review, testing support, and go live and after (continuous live) support. Provide guidance to the IT team with technical and functional questions about the different business scopes and standards covered by the team.
  • Handle multiple projects at a time in various stages of implementation
  • Report weekly on project status, outstanding risks, and upcoming tasks. Create innovative and insightful ways of reporting to different levels in the company up to top management.
  • Create, update, and distribute documentation on standards and best practices for integration with MSC HQ. Ensure all the stakeholders are aware and train them otherwise.
  • Support agencies and regional solutions analysts on direct integration activities. Be the focal point for any kind of integration with clients at a local level. Take the lead on centralization and standardization of existing and potential solutions and standards.
  • Lead workshops, prepare and present requirements and organize meetings with stakeholders. Gather external requirements to define new solutions.
  • Provide leadership in the definition and design of the solutions to ensure a full commitment to the delivery of the Project. Deal and negotiate with the IT department on the definition of timelines based on priority, urgency and availability of internal and external stakeholders. Be accountant for the project deadlines.
  • Deal with issues, be proactive and pragmatic in solution findings.
  • Monitor and report on progress of the activities to the Project Manager. Take on the Project Manager activities whenever not available.
  • Should keep self-updated with the innovative and disruptive trends in the maritime and supply chain industry by reading related magazines and periodicals participating in related seminars as required.
  • Ensure constructive communication and collaboration with third parties. Collaborate with the other teams of the department and other departments for the creation of new digital solutions.
  • Onboard team newcomers. Train and guide them on the different processes and activities performed by the team. Review their deliverables to ensure the performance and quality of the job done.
  • Give the necessary input to the finance department to handle the direct integrations invoices towards Vendors. Follow-up with internal and external stakeholders on the whole process from invoice creation to payment received.
  • Create monetary value for the company by defining new revenue sources and models.

YOUR BACKGROUND


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst: Project Scoping, Business Requirements development, Test Cases.
  • Knowledge in Shipping/ Supply Chain/Logistics/Integrations.
  • Awareness of shipping digital environment/ecosystem.
  • Knowledge in Technology & Software/Product Development Projects.


Technical:


  • Knowledgeable about EDI best practices and standards (e.g.: EDIFACT and X12) as well as API methods (GET, POST, PUT, etc…) and commonly used message formats (JSON and XML).


Skills:


  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).


CONTRACT DETAILS


  • Starting ASAP.
  • Position located in Geneva.
  • Full Time & Permanent Contract.
  • No remote working.
  • EU citizenship or valid Swiss work permit is required.
