Mechanics & Utilities Professional (Utilities focused)

Standard (Mon-Fri)

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Working at heights

• Utilities Operations: Operate Utilities Systems incl. Chemical, gas, chemical waste, clean and plant utilities systems on GMP level.
  
• Equipment maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on utility systems and process equipment, including HVAC, boilers, water systems, bioreactors, vessels and purification equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  
• Fixing: Quickly identifying and resolving system issues that arise during the second shift to minimize downtime.
  
• Documentation: Document all maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections, corrective and preventive actions, in accordance with GMP standards.
  
• Support Manufacturing: Assist in maintaining systems critical to manufacturing operations, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  
• Ensure all maintenance activities align with GMP standards and safety laws.
  
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the maintenance team leads and other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and priorities.
  

• Adheres to general cGMP rules, Quality policies, procedures and instruction as rolled out by the Quality function and endorsed by the site management.
  
• Actively contributes to continuous quality improvement initiatives and deviation reporting and follow-up.
  

• Adheres to general safety rules, policies, procedures and instructions as rolled out by the EHSS functions and endorsed by the site management.
  
• Actively contributes to safety initiatives and issues as well as near miss reporting and follow-up.

• Technical diploma or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a GMP manufacturing facility.
  
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing process equipment.
  
• Proficient in GMP standards and maintenance strategies.
  

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate job ownership.
  
• Analytical and concept-based thinking and acting.
  
• Strong attention to detail in documenting activities in compliance with GMP standards.
  
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, walking, and lifting of materials and equipment.
  
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow all GMP and safety laws.
  
• Ability to support within the on-call team for 24/7 support
