This is a key leadership role within the Hematology/Oncology Business Unit of Incyte International, The Medical Director will actively contribute to the medical strategy and execution of international initiatives across multiple regions. This includes representation in Global Program Teams (GPTs) and contributing strategically to regulatory and pricing & reimbursement (P&R) planning and submissions. The role supports both pre- and post-launch activities across multiple therapeutic areas and ensures alignment with local and global functions.


We are seeking a future-oriented, strategic thinker who is scientifically grounded, collaborative, digitally adept, and capable of identifying external opportunities and converting them into meaningful contributions to patient care and product value.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the International cross-functional team in Global Program Teams (GPTs), voicing ex-US regional priorities and ensuring cross-functional alignment with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Translational, Global Product Strategy, etc.
  • Provide Medical leadership and expertise to shape the development and early launch strategy of Incyte pipeline assets through cross-functional collaborations.
  • Lead or co-lead cross-regional disease or asset teams, contributing to the International brand strategy and ensuring seamless execution with affiliate teams.
  • Contribute to regulatory approval efforts, including EMA and other regional filings, and support optimal pricing and access strategy.
  • Drive high-quality, compliant scientific engagement with external experts, medical societies, and stakeholders through diverse channels (1:1s, digital platforms, advisory boards, symposia).
  • Act as International Medical Affairs lead for Managed Access Programs (NPPs, EAPs) and International-sponsored medical studies.
  • Lead the development and review of scientific and promotional materials, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with global and US functions on evidence generation strategies, lifecycle planning, and strategic alignment.
  • Proactively identify data and evidence gaps at the international level and develop strategic plans to mitigate them through internal or collaborative initiatives.
  • Represent International Medical Affairs on Global Publication Teams to ensure publication planning and execution reflects international needs, priorities, and timelines.
  • Support evaluation and approval of Investigator-Initiated Research (IIRs), Grants & Donations and Free of Charge Donations.
  • Identify medical insights and future trends through expert engagements and proactively integrate them into strategy.
  • Contribute to scientific content development and scientific programs at congresses and internal/external meetings.
  • Maximize the value of medical congresses by engaging with experts, capturing insights, and delivering impactful scientific education aligned with international priorities.
  • Maintain deep disease area expertise, ensuring credibility in front of HCPs and internal stakeholders.
  • Foster strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing with International Brand/program Team members (Commercial Affairs, Value and Access, Public Affairs, Medical Communication/Information) and country teams.


Profile Requirements

------------------------


  • MD, PhD, or Pharmacist with 5+ years in Medical Affairs or relevant pharmaceutical/clinical experience preferably in both local and international roles
  • Strong scientific acumen; therapeutic experience in oncology, immunology, or rare diseases preferred.
  • Experience engaging with KEEs and scientific societies; established network in relevant specialties is a plus.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect cross-functional priorities and execute with agility.
  • Effective communicator across geographies, functions, and levels.
  • Digitally savvy; comfortable with multichannel scientific engagement.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a matrix environment.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally.
